The hierarchical network design
This lesson will make you understand how does the LAN network design and as a network administrator you should have a knowledge about the hierarchical network design.
When building a LAN that satisfies the needs of a
small-
sized or medium-sized business, your plan is more likely to
be successful if a
hierarchical design model is used. Compared to other network designs, a

Addressing
In network addressing you should know which kind of network addresses do you have and how can use an address in your network and how to sub-netting the address.
A network address is
simply a code used by computers as a means of identification. Just like getting
information to and from your home requires the postal service to know the house
number and street name, a network address accomplishes
the same thing for a computer network. Without
some way of passing along this information, the idea of the Internet would be
almost useless.
